Saturday at Home

It is Saturday and Abbie and Louis are hosting friends, Shyenne and Dustin. Their parents are attending a homeschool conference today. The 2 boys are gathering their GI Joes and the girls have collected their Barbie dolls and they are preparing for the "GI Joe rescue Barbie" game. This is a very elaborate imaginative game that involves setting up the pop-up tents and using every pillow and blanket in the house to make the "kingdom". I am so very blessed by the presence of these children. I enjoy stopping in the midst of my chores and listening to their dialog. Their imaginations are boundless. And all this without the aid of technology: tv, computer, gaming system, etc.
